About this Picture
Cleveland's Old Stone Church sits in the center of Public Square. Founded in 1820 by 15 residents (then 10 pct. of Cleveland's population), the sandstone church has a history nearly as old as the city itself. In 1998, the new steeple (seen here) was raised, replacing the original 1896 structure.
