About Scott Evans
I am a Cleveland based freelance photographer specializing in action sports photography as well as urban and industrial fine art photography. I love sports as an athlete and as a photographer. Capturing the emotion and dynamic action in a sporting event not only challenges the technical side of my work but is highly rewarding when you know you nailed the shot that a parent, athlete, or team will have for years to come. On the fine arts side, and as a native of Cleveland, I’ve watched this city transform itself from dependence on heavy industry to a modern metropolitan area. In the wake of that is the forgotten heritage of warehouses, factories, and small shops which tell a story of what this city used to be. I try see something uncommon in these common things and present them as a nostalgic and artistic way of staying connected to the history of this town.
I have always enjoyed exploring my own creativity but it wasn’t until my wife signed me up for a photography class that I found my calling. While I am my own worst critic, I am also very fortunate to have a loving and supportive family that offers me honest critique and encourages me to pursue my passion for photography.
