About Natalie Mancino
Originally from Youngstown, Oh, I started my education in the arts at Youngstown State University. I made the decision to strongly pursue photography as my craft so I transferred and graduated with an Associate Degree in photography from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Upon moving to Columbus to start my career as a professional photographer, I continued my education and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in photography from The Ohio State University.
Deeply fascinated in the fine arts my whole life – drawing, painting, design, photography, dancing, drama, – I always knew I would live my life as an artist. It was never a question to me or anyone else around me that I would pursue a creative career. My treasures as a child were crayons and scrap paper…I loved boxes and egg cartons, buttons and string. I loved to work with my hands to make beautiful things. Support from my family to do what I loved was always strong and ever present in my life from the time I was a child. The faith they had that I could be a successful artist and make something of my life with my talents carried me right to where I am today.
Currently I work as a Portrait Photographer, Fine Artist and Designer for Studio N, my photography business I started in 2004. My work is strongly focused on children, however I continue to work on my personal visions through nature, landscape, photojournalism and abstract photography. This work has given me the opportunity to travel and capture my experiences, emotions and surroundings through photography. My personal work is a direct extension of the thought processes and visualizations I encounter as I journey through life. My hope is that viewers can connect on some level to my work.
